What is the Festival of Speed?

Dating back to 1993, the Goodwood Festival of Speed began as a hillclimb race that ended at the top of Goodwood Park. Designed to bring motorsport back to this historic venue, the festival grew over the years and is today, an icon of the motorsport industry, described as ‘the garden party of the gods’.

Last year, the festival celebrated its silver jubilee, and since the festival’s beginnings, over 200,000 thousand motor and racing enthusiasts have attended the event each year, enjoying a truly unforgettable experience.

Held in the beautiful parkland surrounding Goodwood House, the Goodwood Festival of Speed is the ultimate motorsport event. Featuring the very best in modern and historic racing cars and motorbikes, the Festival of Speed really is a spectacle unlike any other.

What’s on?

From the 4th-7th July, the very best drivers and riders will be showcasing their talents in the historic hill climb, with the racing culminating on the Sunday as the competitors vie for the prestigious shootout record. All this, plus the opportunity to see the very latest cars on display from the world’s leading manufacturers and with multiple special guests that visitors will have the chance to meet.
