New timber windows in the North of England

As our latest post in this series, today we will be taking a look at our 3 showrooms situated in the North of England. This large, diverse region of the country has a population of over 15 million people, contains 17 cities, coasts on both the East and West side of the country and boasts 8 AONBs, providing a little bit of everything for homeowners and visitors alike.
These three showrooms are all managed by the same central team, and have worked on a diverse number of projects across this wide, spanning region of the country for many years. If you are situated within the North of England, one of these showrooms is likely to cover your area, so please do get in touch if you are interested in new windows and doors for your home.
As before, it is worth noting that this post is correct at the time of writing, and so when you read this, whenever that may be, it may be that we have opened an additional showroom(s) in one or more of these areas. So please do visit our showrooms page, where we list every location, and you can find the most convenient for yourself.
Cheshire – Knutsford
Our first showroom we will be covering today is in the idyllic, aspirational county of Cheshire, within the market town of Knutsford. Knutsford is a historic town, with a charming centre boasting cobbled streets and a vibrant, boutique shopping scene. The town sits within close proximity to what is known as ‘The Golden Triangle’, an area within Cheshire known for its affluent and famous residents, and luxurious properties.
The town also sits on the border to Tatton Park, which over the years has hosted numerous RHS Flower and Garden shows. While the RHS now rotates the venues their shows are held at on an annual basis (With the exception being the Chelsea Flower Show), Timber Windows have had the honour of exhibiting at Tatton Park on 3 occasions, so if you are local to the area and have not been the showroom, we may have met you there!
Our showroom in Knutsford covers a wide area, so if you live in Macclesfield, Stockport, Liverpool or Manchester (or anywhere in-between), our Knutsford showroom can help, and have worked in and around these towns and cities for many years. You can find our Knutsford showroom on King Street in the northern part of town. The showroom is on a bustling street, next door to high quality flooring specialists, KQC, and just down the road from the Café on the Corner, if you are looking for somewhere for lunch! The full details for the showroom can be found here.

Yorkshire – Harewood
Our second showroom in the region is in the highly desirable, and wide spanning county of Yorkshire. In more recent times, the county has been split up into 4 ceremonial counties (North, West, South and East Riding) and also includes the Humberside and Cleveland regions. The size of Yorkshire means that it includes popular, tourist city destinations such as Leeds and York (to which the county took its name), as well as coastal destinations such as Whitby and Scarborough. It is also home to both the North York Moors and the Yorkshire Dales, giving visitors to Yorkshire a taste of everything.
On the outskirts of Harrogate, West Yorkshire, sits one of Yorkshire’s (and the nation’s) most historic country homes, the Harewood House Estate. Built in the 1700s, it is one of the 10 most foremost historic homes in the country. Nowadays, the wider estate is more open to the public, with an array of residential properties, commercial units, farming and hospitality ventures (to name a few).
The doors to our showroom on the Harewood House Estate opened over 10 years ago, and have worked on hundreds of homes of all sizes across Yorkshire and the wider areas. The team there are highly experienced on properties of all ages, and if you do live local to Harewood / Harrogate, you can find their details here.

Newcastle upon Tyne – Gosforth
Our final showroom in the Northern region of the country opened its doors last year, within a suburb of the highly popular city of Newcastle-on-Tyne. Among many of the reasons why Gosforth is famous, one of its biggest claims to fame is being the original home to beloved national bakers, Greggs, where founder John Gregg, opened his first shop on Gosforth High Street.
Gosforth is a desirable suburb among homeowners, partly due to its proximity and easy transport into Newcastle city centre. It is also only a short drive to Whitley Bay, which was recently named as ‘The best place to live in the North of England’. The district has an eclectic array of property styles, making it popular among first time buyers, growing families and retirees alike.
Off Gosforth High Street, you can find our beautiful, large showroom on Causey Street, just down from Katherine’s florist. An extensive selection of our timber windows and doors are on display here, including a bespoke, true arched sash window. As our entire range is made to order, bespoke joinery such as this means there is no challenge we are too afraid to tackle! You can find the full details of our Gosforth showroom here.
