Conventional French Casement Doors

door

Double glazed French doors

Authentically styled French Casement Doors may open in or out with either door designed to open first, as best suits your room layout.

Multiple colours may be applied to one door set, enabling you to finish the doors with a different shade internally to complement interior decor. Leaded lights or glazing bars in a range of sizes may be added as required to suite with other fenestration.

Attention to detail in the design of proportion, sizes and forms of the profiles ensures our French Casement Double-Glazed Doors look entirely original, whilst providing modern standard of comfort, security and longevity in use.

Timber sections that resist warping and twisting, high security locking systems with robust proprietary hinges and high performance paint coatings that provide a long life of low maintenance are just some of the discreet advances that feature in our range.

More about Conventional French Casement Doors

Engineered timber

As with all our wooden windows and doors, we use engineered timber – Redwood, Meranti or Oak. The technique of layering multiple sections of timber, arranging them so the direction of the grain opposes that of its neighbour’s, ensures that a rigid timber is created. Perfect for solid French doors or those with glazing as there is no warping or twisting, guaranteeing a perfectly fitting door for years to come.

Paint

The French doors are treated with a factory-applied and hand-finished protective layer. The wood stains or micro-porous paints can be applied in single or multiple colours and are available in over 200 RAL shades. We also offer a coordinating Farrow & Ball or Fired Earth matched colour to integrate seamlessly with the majority of existing colour schemes.

Double glazing

Our French casement doors are fitted with double glazing that provides superb insulation and security. The glass is coated to prevent solar energy from being transferred into the room and is highly insulated to prevent heat loss. This ensures that the doors perform brilliantly whatever the weather or season. The double glazed units make the most of modern materials to keep the energy loss at a minimum – these doors look conventional but perform to the best of modern standards.

Ironmongery

We carry a very large range of door handles, hinges, letterboxes and door knockers – the choice of traditional designs and colours to complement your property is balanced with chrome and simple forms to match accessories of a modern take. From antique bronze to black the door furniture can subtly transform the look of a set of new double glazed, timber French doors
