Deco Casement Windows and Entrance Door
Retaining Character in a period home
In a suburb on the outskirts of Birmingham, Mr & Mrs Whitehouse were charmed by the period features when purchasing their semi-detached home,
“our original stained-glass windows and door were beautiful, but single-glazed and draughty, and the wood was rotting. One of the reasons we bought the house was the windows and other period features, so it was important to us to retain this character.”
Mrs Whitehouse describes having been familiar with Timber Windows in their local area,
“we had seen signs for other installations taking place nearby, so we got in touch along with a second company too.”
“When we visited the Timber Windows showroom, and spent some time with them, it was clear they shared our vision and could deliver it.”
Bespoke stained glass timber windows and door
The new Deco casement windows are a close match to the originals, accompanied by a striking, bespoke adaptation of our Osberton door, all featuring the cherished stained and leaded glazing designs.
“The showroom was able to design the products bespoke to us, so we could choose how all aspects worked and looked, and they were able to exactly replicate the stained-glass design, as this was our priority to maintain the appearance of the house.”
“It has been fantastic to finally be able to open windows that had been painted shut; the door closes gently now and doesn’t slam, and there is no longer a howling gale blowing through…the rooms are noticeably quieter and warmer.”
“We were impressed with the quality of the products, and their longevity, backed by guarantees to outlast uPVC”
