Cottage Casement Windows, Entrance Door and Stable Door
Heritage home in need of high performing, appropriate windows and doors
A heritage country cottage over 250 years old in the Surrey hills is currently being renovated by the Cave family.
“This cottage has been a long-term project for us. We have been completely restoring and renovating it and have done everything in stages to help with the budgeting and resources”
Mr Cave explains.
He then goes on to comment
“some of the windows were replaced about 3 years ago. We were keen to get the rest replaced as well as they make such a big difference to a home”.
Cottage casement windows with floating mullions were specified throughout the property, all finished in ‘Calm Grey’ with Period Chrome ironmongery and 18mm astragal glazing bars.
A Bardwell style entrance door and Stratfield style stable door were also installed in the cottage in the same ‘Calm Grey’ finish with Chrome Chatsworth handles and 18mm astragal glazing bars. Combined with the new cottage casement windows, these perfectly suit the age and styling of the cottage, complementing it perfectly.
Superior service and after-care from Timber Windows
“We have been very pleased with everything. From the installation, through to after-care, everything has been attended to very quickly and efficiently”
Mr Cave comments.
“We also live near a busy road and since having the new windows, we have noticed a significant drop in the noise levels, which has been fantastic”.
