Opting for timber to suit the architecture of the property

In a Nottinghamshire village, Mr Almond’s home has undergone a transformation, with the addition of a modern extension to the living area on the rear of his home.

“Our building contractors had suggested using aluminium doors, but we preferred the timber option”

Mr Almond explains.

Sliding patio doors, flush casements and a Staverton entrance door were all specified in Engineered Meranti Hardwood finished in a Light Oak stain with Brushed Metal hardware.

Opening up the living area and creating more space

The trio of patio doors open up the living area, creating a feeling of seamlessness between the house, garden and fields beyond.

Mr Almond has been very happy with his choices,

“they look nicer and have a much softer appearance than the alternative materials we could have used.”

“I really like the practicality that patio doors offer, and the softer, traditional look of the stained finish.”
