Transforming a traditional, Oxfordshire townhouse

Following the purchase of this attractive Oxfordshire townhouse in early 2020, Mr & Mrs Kenyon got to work straight away on transforming it into their ideal, family home.

“The previous owners were an elderly couple who had lived here for many years until their passing. We wanted to really make this place our own, and so planned a huge overhaul, including moving walls, a new garden and conservatory, extensive decorating and updating throughout; and of course, new windows at the front”

Mrs Kenyon explains.

Extensive research was conducted online by Mr Kenyon to find potential suppliers for the new windows, which ultimately lead them to visiting our showroom in Oxford, to try the Timber Windows range out for themselves.

“The originals were also sash windows of the same style, and we wanted to retain the look at the front of the house, but with higher performing, better constructed windows.”

Traditional and timeless, our slim sash windows were specified in the popular shade of ‘Off-White’.

“Overall, the entire project took around 18 months to complete, after which we were finally able to move into our forever home. We are delighted with the end result and the new windows have played a crucial part in this!”

Mrs Kenyon concludes.

“The new windows let in so much natural light, and heat retention has improved substantially!”

“We wanted to retain the look at the front of the house, but with higher performing, better constructed windows.”
