Entrance Door
Peace and quiet
Situated on a busy arterial road on the way to Manchester city centre, the Rudderford family now have a striking new front door to close behind them, leaving the hustle and bustle outside of their now peaceful haven.
“The house is much quieter now, despite the road being as busy as ever – we also feel much more secure in the house, the door is solid and reassuring compared to our old door.”
Their home is relatively new, at just twenty years old and sits within a conservation area.
The Rudderfords specified a beautifully tailored Kingston door, featuring toplights and sidelights, sandblasted glass details and polished chrome ironmongery from Samuel Heath.
Favour the bold
You can be bold with your choice of front door colour to give your home a unique personality and boost its kerb appeal!
“We wanted a statement piece…we tried to choose a colour reflective of city properties and the local architecture,” the door is a colour complementary to Farrow & Ball ‘Pelt’.
Adding a sandblasted number to the glazing is a stylish yet practical design choice, and depending on the font you choose, can give a traditional or modern appearance.
“The showroom team were great, happy to accommodate everything we required – it was installed on the agreed schedule and was all very painless.”
