Heat Insulation and Security Measures
The large rooms with high ceilings meant it was vital to the homeowners to be able to retain heat whilst also getting good levels of daylight.
“From a heat insulation and security perspective it was important to get the majority of the windows and doors changed – the old front door didn’t even have a key and the French doors were impractically tall without toplights, had big gaps and barely opened.”

A Contemporary Shade
Entrance doors, French doors and stable doors were all ordered in a contemporary shade of ‘London Grey’ to contrast with the twenty five sash windows in ‘Off White’.
“We love homes with features and character; this has been a massive project and a somewhat daunting prospect. There’s more work to do in the house and we’ll return for more windows as these areas of the house are covered.”
