Replacing a poor performing door with Engineered Timber

A stylish, secure and high performing entrance door can make a world of difference to a property. For this home in Bristol owned by Mrs Wright, she had a strong desire for exactly this.

“The old door that was in place was in poor condition. It used to wobble when we opened it, it had bowed and it got to the stage where we couldn’t even lock it properly!”

Mrs Wright explains.

She goes on to comment

“To be honest, we couldn’t wait to get rid of it so we looked around for a suitable replacement in the style that we wanted”.

Bevington style entrance door finished externally in ‘London Grey’ with a ‘White’ frame, Chrome ironmongery and sidelight with Satinovo patterned glass.

For their replacement door, a Bevington style entrance door was chosen in a dual colour finish. ‘London Grey’ was specified externally with ‘White’ chosen for the frames and internal finish. This is manufactured in Engineered European Redwood, with multi-layered timber preventing any risk of warping or twisting in the future.

A Chrome Doctors Knocker, escutcheon and spyhole were also installed along with a Polished Chrome Letterplate. There is also a sidelight to the left of the door was Satinovo patterned glass. All of this combined results in a contemporary, stylish and high performing entrance door that Mrs Wright had been searching for.

Stylish replacement door making an immediate difference

“We have had lots of admiring comments from our neighbours and other passers-by about the new door”

Mrs Wright explains.

“When the new door went in, it felt much more solid and secure. We are so pleased with it and are much happier now!”

Mrs Wright concludes.
