Sash Windows
After moving into this impressive Victorian property in 2016, Mr Dawson saw the immediate need to replace the windows.
“I am certain the windows were the originals and unfortunately, like a lot of windows from that period, they didn’t open nor retain any heat! The house was also very cold during the winter and there would be condensation on the inside of the windows that would be there all day”
Having identified this need, Mr Dawson went online to research different suppliers.
“I went onto Google to search for sash windows as I was very keen to replace the windows like-for-like”. He also comments “the Timber Windows website was so easy to navigate through, the products looked good and we are close to the showroom at Harewood so I arranged a visit”
Helpful showroom advice
Following his visit to the Harewood showroom, Mr Dawson was suitably impressed,
“The quality of the showroom really is exceptional. They give you a true impression of the finished product and the team give great advice!”.
“I have to extend my thanks to Stuart and Malcolm for their help with choosing colours and measuring. All of the documents and quotations they put together were easy to understand”.
Traditional sash windows perfectly suited to the Victorian architecture
Impressively proportioned sash windows were specified for the property, finished in ‘Off-White’, all standing at around two metres high each. These are all hung on traditional chains and weights, featuring decorative sash horns and Chrome hardware.
“The fitting team were very professional. They were polite, tidy and completed the job with a good finish”
comments Mr Dawson.
With the new windows installed, Mr Dawson is now reaping the benefits and explains
“during the warm weather, it was nice to be able to open the windows and let the air in. Aesthetically, they look great from both inside and out, and the upstairs windows no longer steam up. We are very, very happy with them!”.
