Contemporary Cottage Casement Windows
“We’d had uPVC windows and doors in a property before we lived here, and never liked them; it was therefore natural for us to have timber”
Mr and Mrs Sepford, Suffolk
Happily Returning to Timber Windows
Mr & Mrs Setford first purchased a new front door and sun room windows for their Suffolk home from Timber Windows in 2010. “We lived with those items for a few years and were very happy with both the products and the service we’d received, we were therefore satisfied to return for the rest of the house” Mr Setford explains.
The Setford’s home has a contemporary approach to its design having been built in the late 1990’s and due to its location within the old boundary wall of Bury St Edmunds, comes with special restrictions – for example, the change in configuration of the sun room glazing had to go through planning officers.
Natural Choice To Use Timber
“We’d had uPVC windows and doors in a property before we lived here, and never liked them; it was therefore natural for us to have timber.”
First Rate Service
“From the quotation, through the specification, the liaison and the surveying, everything was first rate. Our contact at your showroom even consulted directly with the planning officers to agree the changes we wanted to make.”
All the windows and doors were manufactured in Engineered European Redwood, with the majority of them being in the Contemporary Cottage Casement style, meaning more angular edges and more glazing. They all feature contemporary stainless steel ironmongery and are dual coloured with Dorset Cream on the outside and White on the inside.
Careful and Efficient Installation
Mr & Mrs Setford have been pleased with all stages of the process, “we were kept well informed of progress throughout and the installation was both carefully and efficiently carried out; we could tell that the fitters took a lot of care in keeping everything good.”
“Overall, we now have a home which is noticeably much better from a noise and draught perspective.”
