Entrance Door
Timber door tailored to individual style
“If you’re going to do it, go for it properly!”
comments Mrs Townson when describing her new Ascot entrance door for her home in Somerset. Going against a standard choice of door style and colour, the new door is finished in a colour complementary to Farrow & Ball ‘Blue Ground’.
“It’s my favourite colour. My kitchen cabinets are the same, it’s nice and uplifting”.
Seeking advice from her local Timber Windows showroom in Clifton, Mrs Townson explains
“I spoke with Phil from the showroom who was great. He advised about letting in more natural light with the new larger sidelight which has made a lovely difference inside the house as well”.
Brighter entrance and unique kerb appeal
The new door replaced a standard issue uPVC door, and is a complete change of design and configuration, giving the house a truly unique appearance at street level compared to neighbouring properties. It also features Chrome Plated ironmongery from Samuel Heath and sandblasted glass with an etched house number, to complete the look.
Delighted with the outcome, Mrs Townson comments
“I was a little bit worried that the new door might be a tad ostentatious at first, but we couldn’t be happier! We are really pleased with the choices we made and the proportions of the door”.
The difference has not gone unnoticed in the local neighbourhood either.
“The front of the house is much brighter now, we have been getting lots of nice comments from the neighbours”.
