Sash Windows and Entrance Door
Timeless Style
Having lived in their 1860s house on the south coast for three years, the Huxley family have undertaken the biggest project and renovation of their lives to date, to create their dream family home.
“The house had been given ill-suited, uPVC windows in recent years prior to our ownership. We were determined to put timber back in, and return the house to how it should and would have been.”
The homeowners have gone to great lengths to ensure that their work and new extension have been in keeping with the intended style, paying careful attention to brick types, design, and symmetry for example.
Traditionally styled windows and door
Slim sash windows, with the majority finished in “Off-White” and a striking entrance doorset in “Harewood Grey” were selected to complete the vision.
The new front door was inspired by the original hallway door, which is being retained and restored. Its mouldings and details were a very close match for our Bevington door with optional bolection mouldings.
“The windows and door have really made the house, and been an integral part of making it feel and look right.”
Mr Huxley concludes with his only regret,
“we wish we’d used Timber Windows for all the products in the house; we bought a utility door and a couple of casement windows from a well-known, national window company, and we’re not satisfied with them at all, there really is no comparison.”
