Flush Casement Windows and Front Door
High expectations
“Despite much research, it was hard to find other windows and doors that met my expectations and were suitable, particularly in engineered timber”
Mr and Mrs Clark describe with regards their search for the right windows for his Northamptonshire village cottage.
Replacing uPVC, restoring character and comfort
Although they were previously double-glazed, the ill-fitting and poorly suited uPVC windows and door were only serving to make this late 1800s cottage look tired and characterless.
Mr and Mrs Clark chose flush casement windows with 18mm astragal glazing bars, finished in a shade of “Straw” paired with a beautiful entrance door. The front door is the Stratfield design and is finished in a shade complementary to “Burnt Verdigris” from Fired Earth with a “Straw” frame. The door also features Etched Sun glazing and black hardware for its finishing touches.
“The house was suddenly very quiet and warm; we’ve noticed a big difference.”
I think we can all agree on the homeowners’ final comment, “it is one hell of a transformation!”
