Flush Casement Windows and Contemporary Entrance Door
Contemporary Transformation
“When we bought the house, it had a ‘mock-Tudor’ style that to us felt very dated and tired and we were keen to change it as soon as possible”
explains Mrs Darvill when describing the origins of her now contemporary styled home in Essex.
“We wanted to put our stamp on the property, so we planned to change the façade and modernise the home.”
Instantly impressed by the showroom
Mr and Mrs Darvill visited their local Timber Windows showroom in Ingatestone, and having viewed the products on display there, decided almost instantly that this would be the right choice for their home.
“We stopped our search after visiting the showroom, we were both set on Timber Windows and were so impressed with what we saw.”
As part of their renovation project for the house, contemporary styled flush casement windows finished externally in ‘Flatiron Grey’ and featuring horizontal glazing bars were specified across the property.
Modern Edge
“What we love about timber is that we could have any colour we wanted and the new grey of the windows really give the house that modern edge we desired. The previous windows were a dreary, dated brown and it looks so much better now.”
To complement the new windows, a contemporary Ebrenn entrance door with sidelights was also selected. This features a dual colour finish of ‘Anthracite’ on the door sash and ‘Flatiron Grey’ on the frame, and is paired with stainless steel ironmongery.
The modernisation of the family home is now complete and Mrs Darvill comments
“We are so pleased with everything from Timber Windows, everything looks great and it has really given our home the look we were going for.”
