Cottage Casement Windows and Front Door
Country home restoration
Dating to the early 20th century, this beautiful country home in rural Hampshire has been extensively renovated and refurbished by the Freeguard family.
“Historically the home was thatched up until a severe fire which led to a partial rebuild. The previous owners restored it and gave it a tiled roof, as well as secondary glazing. We were keen to restore the original look of the home as best we could”
Mrs Freeguard explains.
Visiting our showroom in Horndean, the Freeguards were impressed with the range on display, but comment on how the team went one step further with their service.
“Kevin was especially helpful. He invited us to their warehouse to see a selection of windows and doors waiting to be installed for other customers. It really helped us get a greater feel for the range, outside of the showroom display units.”
Timeless timber windows and doors
Timeless cottage flush casement windows in White with a Georgian glazing bar formation, were partnered with a stunning, Black Westonbirt front door, bringing a classy and characterful appearance to the home, in keeping with its history.
“I especially enjoyed designing our new front door, and I am so happy with it!”
The home is situated on a busy road and while the old secondary glazing did serve its purpose to an extent, it was described as ugly by the Freeguards, and there was room for improvement in its performance.
“The house is so much more peaceful now, we can really feel the difference the new windows have made!”
“Overall, we are very pleased with both the products and the service received from the Timber Windows team”
Mrs Freeguard concludes.
