Flush Casements Windows
A Fresh New Look
As the showhome for this 1980s built estate, the Thompstones fell for both the setting and house itself, and snapped it up as soon as it became available.
Having been the only owners of their home since it was new, they were now keen to give it an updated, lighter appearance as a change from the dark brown wooden windows.
“We had been concerned about replacing windows, particularly in the bathroom and kitchen, due to potential damage to surrounding tiles – it turns out we had no reason to be worried, as the replacements were made very carefully and with no damage at all.”
French Grey finished flush casement windows were installed throughout, with a White painted finish internally and Aged Brass Reeded handles.
High Level of Engineering
Mr Thompstone carried out thorough research on the insulation properties of timbers, and owing to his background in engineering, he was able to appreciate the high level of engineering that is incorporated into the Timber Windows products.
The owners also took environmental matters into consideration,
“we all know we need to be planting more trees for the environment, and using timber in products is also helpful as it continues to absorb carbon dioxide from the atmosphere.”
The Aged Brass Reeded handles add a touch of simple elegance to the white painted interior faces of the windows.
“We didn’t want to go down the route of uPVC – timber is sustainable, whereas plastic definitely isn’t.”
The French Grey finish to the windows is a timeless choice for architecture of all ages.
“The warmth in the house has been much better, we’ve really noticed a great improvement.”
“The replacements were made very carefully and with no damage at all [to surrounding décor]”
