Upgrading a historic home
Nestled in the Surrey countryside, this beautiful country cottage, which dates to the 1500s was recently purchased by the Burton family.
“We have only been in the house for 6 months. As soon as we got the keys, replacing the windows was an immediate focus”.
With a number of the old windows barely functioning, getting stuck and overall, of poor quality, the Burton’s were keen to visit the Timber Windows of Guildford showroom to see how our range could improve their new home.

Timeless timber windows and doors
“The house was sympathetically extended in the 1960’s, and we were keen to ensure the new windows and doors were also in keeping with the property’s heritage”
Mrs Burton explains.
Our timeless flush casement windows and French doors were specified, with 18mm horizontal astragal glazing bars, and a dual colour finish, of ‘French Grey’ externally and a colour complementary to Farrow & Ball ‘Wimborne White’ internally.

Noting an immediate difference the new windows and doors made to their home, and overall comfort, Mrs Burton concludes,
