Mr & Mrs Cotterill describe, when speaking of their Grade II Listed Essex barn dating to the 1500s.
The heritage officers overseeing the application were strict on the details of the replacement windows and door,
“they required an exact match, and would not permit double glazing, not even the ultra-slim units.”

New high performance single glazed windows
Accepting the decision that it had to be single glazing, the Cotterills went ahead with flush casement, sash windows and a front door from our Listed range, featuring 4mm putty finished glazing and authentic true bars.
Despite not being able to have the glazing option they set out for, the homeowners have been amazed by the change they’ve seen, even from the modern single glazing,
