Victorian Terrace Renovation

“We used to sit wrapped up in blankets to keep warm”

Mr & Mrs Groves exclaim when thinking back to the draughty and ill-fitting doors and windows they had previously.

The 1880s Victorian end of terrace in a Norfolk city, has been home to the Groves for 21 years.

The house sits on a slope, meaning many walls and features sit out of kilter, and at challenging angles, with the homeowners commenting,

“the fitters were very creative and fantastic at making the products work, within the very wonky walls, particularly the bay window.”

The Westonbirt door is finished in a shade complementary to Farrow & Ball “Stiffkey Blue” and has Polished Brass hardware. As a professional graphic designer, Mr Groves designed the attractive font for the toplight, himself.

The elegant, slim hidden spring sash windows, in “White” finish off the transformation.

The difference has been clear for the homeowners,

“we have noticed how much warmer and quieter the house feels now.”

“Competing quotes offered off-the-shelf products that wouldn’t have been suitable, and couldn’t stand up to the quality and bespoke nature of the products offered by Timber Windows.”
