Timber windows are traditionally hung on solid brass ‘butt hinges’. Our modern, extremely robust pivot hinge mountings make these technically redundant; however we feel that the butt hinge is an important part of the aesthetic appeal of the flush casement window when viewed from outside. Our uniquely designed and commissioned decorative butt hinges are fitted as standard to all side opening windows. These are supplied in brass finish as standard, but may be customised as below.
